About Sweet Days

A small shop,
on purpose.

Ice cream on one side, coffee on the other, and enough chairs that nobody has to eat standing up on the sidewalk.

SWEET DAYS
locallyowned

The short version

Somebody had to open one.

Sweet Days is an independent ice cream and coffee shop in Colorado City, Colorado. Not a chain, not a franchise, no app to download before you can order a scoop.

The idea is simple enough to explain in one sentence: a room you can walk into for a coffee in the morning and a cone in the evening, run by people who live here too.

“Ice cream has always been my passion. With each scoop, I aim to create sweet memories and a sense of community.” Sweet Days, in its own announcement

What it’s for

Mostly, it’s for hanging around.

A morning stop

Coffee, a seat, ten minutes before the day starts. The unglamorous half of the business, and the half that keeps it open.

An after-school problem

Somewhere for kids to end up that is not a parking lot. Kid scoops, kid prices, no minimum spend.

A reason to walk down

Small towns lose places like this and do not always get them back. This is the getting-one-back part.

come in, say hi, tell us what to put in the case

A room to book

Birthdays, team nights, fundraisers. It is a small shop, which is exactly what makes it work for a group that actually knows each other.

Around here

Photos, once we have them.

Every picture on this site is drawn by hand for now. Real photos of the shop, the case and the people in it drop straight into these slots.

drawings now, real photos the week after opening

That’s the whole pitch

Come visit Sweet Days.

Best way to understand a small shop is to stand in it.
